Healing - The ultimate goal!
As humans, we live and we love and we taste the bitterness of loss but nothing is ever as simple as that! As if to forget the parts inbetween. The parts that have us broken and manic.
Painted at the Guyan Huaxing art residency program, “Healing” was the third in the series of 5 Knowsey Kid creations, By British Artist, Ben Growden
This particluar image shows an abstract scene in which Knowsey sits upon a cloud, holding his heart in his hand, searching for his soul.
Ben says: At the moment of discovering the village, I had been walking for maybe 500km over the space of 21 days and although I wasn’t ready or prepared for such creativity, I played with the thoughts of creating something because deep down, that’s how I heal.
As I looked upon the clouds surrounding the village as they sat comfortable on the mountain peaks, I imagined myself sitting up there, wondering… what would I be thinking in that moment?
The reality of my life and burden of my actions, has always been in everything that I created but here, sitting on this cloud was a realisation! A moment of clarity where I decided that god was with me, guiding me and giving me the tools to survive. My heart was not anyone else’s to fix, just my own.
